Its almost 3. I have to go be at work at 5... I have a ton of reading that I ought to do for school. And right now I want to do one of two things:
1. Sleep
2. Paint my nails.
Yes, #2 is odd, especially for me. However, working in the dishroom has taken a toll on my fingers. Since I'm signing on the weekends for Deaf Church and typing for class throughout the week and trying to finish up a particular gift which requires the nimble use of my fingers, this is not good. But it pays well and is, in my opinion, the best fit for me in food service right now.
My boyfriend and I went to a Steven Curtis Chapman concert last night with his parents to celebrate his mom's birthday. Andrew Peterson and Josh Wilson were there.
So
Good!
They are very talented artists who love the Lord. Soooo encouraging.
SCC did a presentation on the ShowHope organization he and his wife started (check it out here!) and then it turned out that a family who had adopted something like 5 kids through ShowHope happened to be there in the audience so they got to come onstage.
Not gonna lie, I teared up a couple of times thinking of the kids I worked with at Hope House a couple of years ago (check out that ministry here)
I know there's a lot of people joining the adoption movement, but still there are so many more that could join in helping to care for the orphans of the world!!!
Alright I've effectively procrastinated another 15 minutes and my computer battery is about to dies. Guess that's the hint to get back to preparing for my Apologetics 3 presentation :-)
